DC DPR Senior City Tour: Columbia Heights Recreation Center

Today was the kickoff of the 2022 DC DPR (Department of Parks & Recreation) Senior City Tour!

Our first stop was the Columbia Heights Recreation Center located at 1480 Girard St., NW, Washington, DC 20009. This event was originally scheduled to take place outdoors. However, due to inclement weather, we had to pivot on-site and move our activity to the fourth floor of this magnificent building.

Our Executive Director, Deborah Pair Chandler, alongside the From The Scroll volunteers successfully demonstrated how to play our latest board game entitled “FRUIT”. A slew of business cards and many multi-colored Bible-verse wristbands were handed out.

Also in attendance were the CEO of Zealous Services Inc., Kyla Smith-Hutchison and Guy Colston who serves in the dual capacities of COO for Zealous and Director of Operations for From The Scroll, LLC. We had a great time and look forward to returning to this location in the near future!
